Why Meadowlark

Standards are technical. Applying them is practical.

Certification systems establish important requirements, but understanding a standard is only part of the work.

Effective implementation requires understanding what those requirements look like on a farm, within a business, and throughout an agricultural system.

Meadowlark brings experience from both sides of that process, combining work in inspection and certification with experience in agricultural production, program management, and sustainable agriculture.

The result is an approach that is independent, practical, and grounded in how agriculture actually works.

Built on Experience

Meadowlark is built on more than a decade of experience across sustainable agriculture, certification, inspection, international development, and agricultural programming.

Founder Maclaine Sorden has worked directly with producers and agricultural businesses, conducted inspections and audits, managed agricultural programs, and collaborated with certification organizations, government agencies, universities, and conservation partners in the United States and internationally.
